In 2013, Norfolk Southern selected Enginuity for a major project at its Lucknow Rail Yard in the Harrisburg, PA. In order to accelerate the transitions of train crews, a bridge was erected over several tracks, with new fuel and oil lines running the span. This 160 foot bridge, which was preassembled including the 3” thru 10” piping and all electrical conduits. and lifted into place as a single element, allows crews to cross over tracks unaffected by trains running underneath them as well as providing utilizes to a new refueling pad nearby located between the tracks. The bridge erection took place over eight live train tracks.
This projected included double wall piping systems and over 2,800 feet of above ground, pier mounted, fuel oil piping.
